As Housekeeping Aid Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the supervision Housekeeping Aid workers. The Housekeeping Aid Supervisor responds to various demands in the workplace and maintains a balanced workload between work groups, make adjustments in the workload as necessary. He/She is responsible for making routine decisions regarding execution of established policy, which has been interpreted by higher-level supervisors. These decisions typically involve the work or assignments and how they are to be completed. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Plan the assignments of workers; use of equipment, facilities, materials and tools. Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and work assignments based on work schedules, methods, and policies. Determine the number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific tasks and projects. Track and report progress on work assignments. Observe work in progress to anticipate and resolve problems; reassign personnel and coordinate work among workers and other supervisors to meet deadlines/schedules. Investigate work related problems such as long productivity to determine causes and cost over-run. Plan and establish overall leave schedule for assigned employees including approve/disapprove leave request(s). Determine training needs of subordinates and provide/request arrangements for this training. Recommend disciplinary actions; advise and counsel subordinates. Assure safe work practices and good housekeeping practices are observed. Promotion Potential:
The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. Work Schedule:

Experience:
A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
