Social Worker

Duties include but not limited to:
Serving as the facility's liaison to and primary point of contact for the local and balance of state continuums of care for meetings, coordinated entry planning efforts, case conferencing, and efficient sharing of Veteran data and program information, as allowable under VA Privacy and Information Security policies and directives, which will require knowledge of HMIS and HOMES data standards, data sharing and privacy authorities, HUD guidance, and other applicable documents or established guidance. Overseeing HCHV contracts with local agencies that provide housing for homeless Veterans, including all correspondence with the network Contracting Office and HCHV contract facilities; coordinating the renewal and inspection schedule for each contract facility; monitoring the clinical care and assessing the compliance of the residential shelter programs in contract with the VA; tracking the monthly use of contract funds to ensure that budget is being used appropriately; and working with network Contracting Office to create new HCHV contracts, including writing Statements of Work, verifying funding availability, requesting funds, creating quality assurance and improvement measures, conducting market research, selecting an evaluation team, evaluating contract bids, and other associated tasks. Collaborating with internal including Homeless Programs and Suicide Prevention, as well as community partners including the Columbia Homeless Outreach Team, ensure continuity of care for Veterans experiencing homelessness in addition to complex physical and mental illnesses; and providing support to the Truman VA Housing Crisis & Outreach Services (HCOS) team as a functional member of the team, including participation in outreach activities and subject matter consultation on community involved interventions for homeless Veterans. Providing assessments for homeless Veterans (e.g. interviewing, psychosocial histories and assessments to aid in the development of treatment plans as well as case conferencing discussions and planning); providing clinical services and appropriate clinical documentation for homeless Veterans encountered through the community's coordinated entry system or other service access points, as well as for all contacts with or about Veterans who are engaged through outreach services; and staffing the Behavioral Health Emergency Shelter Pager on a rotational basis, responding to Veterans experiencing literal, or at imminent risk of, homelessness through assessment and connection with appropriate resources including HCHV-contracted residential shelter services. Social workers must be proficient in spoken and written English in accordance with VA Handbook 5005, Part II, chapter 3, section A, paragraph 3j, this part. Education:
Successful completion of master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the school of social work is fully accredited. (Transcripts must be provided). Licensure:
Must be licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level. (License must be provided). Grade Determinations:
GS-12 Experience/Education:
To qualify, candidates must possess experience that demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills and judgment. At least two (2) years of experience post advanced practice clinical licensure and should be in a specialized area of social work practice of which, one year must be equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Senior social workers have experience that demonstrates possession of advanced practice skills and judgment. Senior social workers are experts in their specialized area of practice. Senior social workers may have certification or other post-masters training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course of study and internship or equivalent supervised professional experience in a specialty. GS-12 Licensure/Certification:
In order to qualify for this level, you must be licensed or certified by a state at the advanced practice level which included an advanced generalist or clinical examination, unless they are grandfathered by the state in which they are licensed to practice at the advanced practice level (except for licenses issued in California, which administers its own clinical examination for advanced practice) and you must be able to provide supervision for licensure. In addition to the experience above, candidates must demonstrate all of the following KSAs:
1. Skill in a range of specialized interventions and treatment modalities used in specialty treatment programs or with special patient populations. This includes individual, group, and/or family counseling or psychotherapy and advanced level psychosocial and/or case management. 2. Ability to incorporate complex multiple causation in differential diagnosis and treatment within approved clinical privileges or scope of practice. 3.Knowledge in developing and implementing methods for measuring effectiveness of social work practice and services in the specialty area, utilizing outcome evaluations to improve treatment services and to design system changes. 4. Ability to provide specialized consultation to colleagues and students on the psychosocial treatment of patients in the service delivery area, as well as role modeling effective social work practice skills. 5.Ability to expand clinical knowledge in the social work profession, and to write policies, procedures, and/or practice guidelines pertaining to the service delivery area. The work is sedentary. Some work may require walking, standing, bending. The employee frequently carries light items such as employee files or other papers. The work does not require any special physical effort. Although strenuous physical activity is not required, the incumbent is expected to withstand pressure and stress as part of their day-to-day activities

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
