Casualty Claims Manager

Columbia Insurance Group seeks a Casualty Claims Manager to join our incredible team in Columbia, MO. The Casualty Claims Manager will serve as technical and training resource on casualty and property claim issues. Will oversee Special Investigation, Recovery, and Quality Control functions. Direct company claims catastrophe responses.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES
Assist in directing and training of claims personnel.
Become personally involved in large or complex claims when required.
Oversee commercial umbrella claims.
Review claim files in excess of the branch office claims authority to ensure reserves/authorities are adequate and that proper procedures and documentation are maintained.
Respond to inquiries of agents, etc., regarding claim handling and decisions.
Audit claim files to ensure proper handling, reserving and a satisfactory conclusion.
Enforce company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree.
At least 5 years management experience of claim operations.
A thorough knowledge of commercial lines products and coverages.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong background in adjusting / supervising complex and severe commercial casualty claims.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Supplemental insurance education / designations.
Proficient in Word and Excel software.
Knowledge of Auto and Property estimating software programs.
Workers' compensation claims management experience.
Litigation management experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
