Primary responsibilities for this position will be the following:
1) Engineering of the device-body interface, which includes mechanical and biomedical designs and optimization of the device interface for reliable operation. The person needs to combine mechanical, electrochemical, and material aspects of the device to achieve best user experience from the device. Device improvement is expected based on analysis of experimental results.
2) Study of the device performance on human subjects, which include psychophysical study of sensory perception from the device and experimental evaluation of the efficacy for balance assistance. The person will be involved in experimental design and testing on human subjects with or without vestibular imbalance, and will work with a variety of people involving patients, therapists, doctors in clinics and balance centers in order to run experiments smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills
