Responsible for timely, accurate, specific and balanced responses to Medical Inquires in collaboration with Medical CommunicationsAdherence to SOP and FDA guidance for distribution of scientific informationAdherence to SOP and compliance guidelines for all external contactsPrepares and presents data to internal audiences including MA and Commercial partnersResearchResponsible for supporting research projects aligned with medical and brand strategy; including facilitating investigator-initiated research (IIR) and research site identificationResponsible for supporting clinical trial team and engaging with appropriate stakeholders for Bayer sponsored clinical trials.
Support with data collection, feasibility & initiation visits, and study support as appropriate.
InsightsResponsible and Accountable for generating relevant HCP and stakeholder insights that deepen understanding of patients, HCPs, consumers, or treatment landscape.
Document and communicate them accordingly within system or to stakeholders to inform, refine, and enhance tactics and strategyReport new compound development information and potential collaborations when appropriate or requested in line with corporate strategy.

As an individual contributor, the MSL utilizes their advanced technical competence and refined interpersonal skills to represent Bayer as a scientific based organization with integrity.
The MSL primarily interacts with Thought Leaders, Healthcare Providers, researchers, associations, societies, & other stakeholders and academic experts in the field.
This is a unique position within the organization as these highly trained, field-based individuals with advanced degrees represent Bayer to its external customers via routine proactive engagement and responses to requests for additional scientific information.
The Senior MSL also interacts with internal partners in support of training, research, and educational initiatives and in some instances participates in strategic planning meetings bringing valuable scientific expertise including external feedback from healthcare providers to the business planning process.
As an internal expert, the Senior MSL also contributes to internal teams and projects in addition to their MSL responsibilities.

Advanced terminal D degree in medical or health sciences (e.

, PhD, PharmD, DPH, EdD) is preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in communicating scientific information Demonstrated project management ability Excellent oral and written communication skills Demonstrates understanding of clinical trial design Ability to critically evaluate the medical literature Ability to work in a team environment Established ability to build productive work relationships both internally and externally Travel 50+% and manage a demanding schedule Preferred Working knowledge of FDA, OIG requirements Minimum 2 years experience in a scientific or healthcare clinical setting; or 2 years of pharmaceutical industry experience Medical Affairs, Sales, Marketing or Clinical Development; or 2 years of post-graduate fellowship experience in a hospital or industry setting; Rotations or fellowships do not contribute to above requirements.
