Responsibilities:
o Make new and replacement hose assemblies on demand;o Perform maintenance and repairs upon tools as required;o Contact vendors to keep a good and timely supply of common materials used in hose assembly production;o Mark hose assemblies using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment;o Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations;o Examine and inspect tools for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors;o Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors;o Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer;o Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in hose room;o Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors;o Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas;o Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers when required;o Completion of all safety and training courses as required;o Perform other warehouseman duties as required.
