Innervo Technology is looking for an experienced embedded system engineer with skills in both hardware implementation and software development for wireless microcontrollers. Innervo Technology is a research and development company established to capture the unique market opportunity for assistive devices that offer balance assistance to individuals with vestibular imbalance. It is the first and only company developing hidden and noninvasive balance prostheses that can provide in-situ sensory feedback wherever they go. The company strives to engineer state-of-the-art products which can provide innovative and practical solutions to individuals with permanent vestibular loss. The company is located in the Village of Cherry Hill in Columbia, MO.
The wireless embedded engineer will participate in the prototyping and product development of this next-generation electronic medical device that can be wireless controlled for easy use in mobile environments. The main focus of the position will be to add wireless connectivity to the electronic control system based on prior device prototypes. Primary responsibilities will include hardware implementation of the embedded system on printed circuit board and development of embedded software for wireless control and data exchange. The device will require integration of the entire system to achieve optimized solutions under geometrical constraints. This person will also be involved in implementation of experimental setups that allow wireless data collection from the prototype for device testing on human subjects.

Creative in explorative work, and capable of analyzing problems and working out solutions with diligence and persistence.
Efficient in individual job functions as well as contributing positively and significantly in a team.
A Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering with about five years of experience on design and implementation of wireless embedded systems, or an advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering with about three years of experience in this area.
Experience using wireless microcontrollers preferred.
Skills in using design automation software for schematics, circuit simulation, and PCB layout.
Skills in interfacing electronics surrounding an embedded microcontroller.
Extensive experience in embedded C programming.
Experience in wireless sensor network protocols such as Simpliciti and BlueRobin.
Additional experience in wireless hardware design that involves antenna and matching components is a plus.
Experience in wireless medical devices a plus.
